HBO's "The Penguin" is set in the world of 2021 movie "The Batman," as Oz Cobb (Colin Farrell) tries to fill a void in Gotham's criminal underworld.

The titular character is not an umbrella wielding, whimsically rotund dandy named Oswald Cobblepot, as he has long been in the Batman world. He is now Oz Cobb, a shambling golem of a man, coarse and ruthless as he tries to claw his way to the top of Gotham’s criminal hierarchy.

The Penguin’ airs weekly on Sky Atlantic

The new limited series from HBO stars Colin Farrell as Oz Cobb, or the Penguin, per USA Today. “The Penguin” is a continuation of the 2022 movie “The Batman” where audiences first saw Farrell as this version of the character.
