It's like déjà vu for Winnipeg Jets defenceman Ville Heinola — and not in a good way at all. Jets head coach Scott Arniel delivered the bad news following the completion of Day 2 of training camp at Hockey For All Centre when he told reporters Heinola has an infection in the ankle he broke last fall and will be sidelined for at least a week.

Arniel resisted the urge for roster revolution with his Day 1 lines. Kyle Connor, Mark Scheifele and Gabriel Vilardi skated on one unit on Team Neufeld to start the day. Nino Niederreiter, Adam Lowry and Mason Appleton were together again on Team Lesuk later in the day.

The afternoon session got underway on day 2 of Jets training camp at hockey for all centre with Team Neufeld. Missing in action: Pair of defencemen were missing today as Ville Heinola and Simon Lundmark both didn’t skate.
