Some apple juice manufactured by Refreso Beverages US Inc. and sold in nine different retailers, including Walmart and Walgreens, were voluntarily recalled on Sept. 9.

Tens of thousands of additional apple juice cases sold at major stores including Walmart, Walgreens and Aldi are being recalled due to high arsenic levels.

Nearly 134,000 cases of multiple brands of apple juice are now being recalled because of of potential contamination.

More than 133,000 cases of apple juice have been pulled from shelves nationwide after the products were found to potentially contain harmful levels of arsenic, according to an announcement from the Food and Drug Administration.

The recall, which originally covered only some apple juice sold at Walmart, now includes several brands sold at multiple retailers.

Florida-based Refresco Beverages US Inc. recalled over 133,000 cases of apple juice, including brands distributed to New York Walmart, Aldi and Dollar General locations. The company didn't immediately respond to the USA TODAY Network's request for comment.
