A foot injury forced Emma Raducanu to retire from the Korea Open quarter-finals on Saturday, while third seed Beatriz Haddad Maia beat sisters Polina and Veronika Kudermetova on the same day to set up a Korea Open final clash with top seed Daria Kasatkina.

During the past two years, Haddad Maia has the advantage over Kasatkina, 2-1 in three head-to-head matches. Their last one, at the Abu Dhabi WTA Women's Tennis Open on February 10, 2024, went to Kasatkina 6-3, 4-6, 7-6.
