I want to host a birthday party that centers at or around Bicentennial Park. Do I need permission (if so from where) or do I just show up? My daughter is turning 12, and I thought it would be a nice time for a bike ride around the park and maybe a catered picnic. The problem is, I am not familiar with the area, so don't know anything about the bike trails in the area or if they are safe with a group of tween girls. I also am not sure where I would cater from. I was thinking Maggiano's which is not too far away. Unless there is something closer. Also when does the splash pad open at the park? The girls could cool off if is active. Any advice on a bike route or a place that caters would be great. I plan on doing a test run (biking and scouting the area) before I make any final arrangements.
